چکیده

AbstructThe least square estimation problem for pinned-to-zero discrete-index reciprocal Gaussian processes in additive white noise is . . . . 1), . . . , (T 2. l ) l t . (53) solved, thus completing and extending some previous results available in the literature. In particular, following the innovations approach a (finite) set of recursive equations is obtained for the filter and for the three standard classes of smoothers (fixed-point, fixed-interval, fixed-lag). Recursive expressions for the mean square performance of the proposed estimators are also given.

Recursive filtering and smoothing for reciprocal Gaussian processes with Dirichlet boundary conditions

The minimum mean square error (MMSE) estimation problem for a discrete-index reciprocal Gaussian process impaired by additive white Gaussian noise is completely solved in the general case of noisily observed Dirichlet random boundary conditions. Finite sets of recursive equations are obtained for the computation of the filtered sequence and of the fixed-point, fixed-interval, and fixed-lag smoo...

Recursive Implementation of Anisotropic Filters

Gaussian filter is widely used for image smoothing but it is well known that this type of filters blur the image features (e.g., edges). Two extensions of Gaussian filters will be discussed in this survey. One is the anisotropic filtering (bilateral filtering or PDE-based anisotropic diffusion) for feature-preserving smoothing and the other is the recursive implementation of various filters tha...

Recursive Estimation of Gauss-Markov Random Fields Indexed over 1-D Space

This paper presents optimal recursive estimators for vector valued Gauss-Markov random fields taking values in R and indexed by (intervals of) R or Z. These 1-D fields are often called reciprocal processes. They correspond to two point boundary value fields, i.e., they have boundary conditions given at the end points of the indexing interval. To obtain the recursive estimators, we derive two cl...

EE381K-14: Multidimensional Digital Signal Processing, Spring 2003

Gaussian filters are widely used for image smoothing but it is well known that this type of filters blur the image features (e.g., edges). Anisotropic filtering draws more and more attention for its ability of featurepreserving smoothing. However, most existing anisotropic filters are quite time-consuming. In this report I will discuss the combination of anisotropic filtering and recursive impl...

Boundary Treatment for Young-van Vliet Recursive Zero-Mean Gabor Filtering

This paper deals with convolution setting at boundary regions for 1D convolution computed during recursive Gaussian and Gabor filtering as well as staged Gabor filtering computed more efficiently as modulation, recursive Gaussian, and demodulation. These are established fast approximations to their filters. Until recently, all the three applications of recursive filters suffered from distortion...
